Get More Visitors
So you want to have more visitors to your website? Great, you have come to the right place! Your website need good content and an acceptable design, or it will be very hard. Maybe not hard to get them, but hard to get them to stay. So what is good content? I would say websites can have good content in two different ways.
A site with unique content that only exists on your page so people must visit it to get what they want. This unique content could be anything, even the design.
A site with a big collection of non-unique content. People will go there because it has so much and maybe what they are looking for.
A website can also have a mix of unique and non-unique content. However, a site with a small collection of non-unique content won't make anyone happy.
First of all you should submit your website to Google. Now people might find your website. But your site need other sites linking to your website to get a high position in the search results.
When other websites have links to your website, you will get a higher PageRank. The pagerank can be 1-10. 10 is the best. There are pagerank calculators where you enter your url and you will see your pagerank.
So how will you get people linking to your website? If your website is very good, people might link to it, and you have to do nothing. But don't count with that.
A good way is to do link exchanges, affilation or whatever you wanna call it. Basicly you just exchange links/banners with someone else. A good idea is to find websites with the same kind of content as your own. If you want you can affiliate with me!

Another way to get more visitors is to join topsites. Then you put some buttons or text on your website and when people click on it they will vote for you.
If your website has tutorials you can submit them to these sites. It may give a huge visitor boost!

Submit your site to link collections like Yahoo! Directory and the Open Directory Project. It could be tricky to find the category you want to submit your site to. Then just search for a possible category name and you will possibly find it. Or you will find similar websites, then you will see what category they are in and you can submit your website to the same.
