With Google AdSense you put advertising on your website that automaticly will fit for you website. If your website is about cars, you will get advertising about cars! And therefore many of your visitors will click on the advertising. That it is text links makes it even better, as people are tired of graphical advertising.
Improving your earnings
Dont't hide the advertising just to make your visitors happy. If they don't see it they won't click on it.
The more to left and the more to the top of your website the advertising is, the better.
Have advertising that fits to your content. You can't sell ice cream on a website about cars!
Use text links as much as you can! People are tired of graphical advertising and will ignore it!
When using google adsense, customize the look of the advertising so it looks like a natural part of your website. Use the same colors as on your website and remove the border.
